Stoughton Library Hosts Guest Speaker from County Registry of Deeds
Register William P. O'Donnell visits the library Thursday, May 12 to discuss the historical nature of the Registry.

Stoughton Public Library, located at 786 Washington St., will host the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds with guest speaker Register William P. O'Donnell in the library's Wales French Room on Thursday, May 12. O'Donnell will discuss the historical nature of the Registry as well as efforts to modernize and computerize the vast number of Norfolk County real-estate records. O'Donnell will also speak about the various consumer initiatives at the Registry. Following his remarks, O'Donnell will be able to answer individual questions.
Members of the Register’s staff will also be available to assist in providing information about the Massachusetts Homestead Act. On-site work stations will be available to provide the status of a mortgage discharge, print a copy of one's deed or provide a demonstration on how the Registry’s online Land Records Database works.
