After high school, Nicole graduated from Massasoit Community College with high honors while abusing Percocet. She would go on to attend Bridgewater State University, but dropped out due to her heroin addiction.

It took three years for Nicole to get clean. In 2014, she was kicked out of her house and checked herself into detox that July. Despite a relapse, she would participate in a 12-step fellowship and has been clean for a year.
