Stoughton Opens Football Postseason Against Whitman-Hanson
The Black Knights will open the postseason by taking on fifth-seeded Whitman-Hanson.

STOUGHTON, MA — Stoughton High School's football team, which finished the regular season at 5-2, was seeded fourth in the MIAA's Division 3 South playoffs. The Black Knights will open the eight-team tournament this weekend when they host fifth-seeded Whitman-Hanson High School (5-2) at a time and date to be announced.
If Stoughton wins, they will advance to play the winner of North Attleboro (6-1) vs. Walpole (2-5) on either Nov. 3 or 4 at a time to be announced after the opening round is complete.
The MIAA switched to a playoff format in 2013. The state semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of Nov. 17 and 18, with state championship games scheduled for Dec. 2 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. For more on the state football tournament, see the MIAA football Website.
