Stoughton Police Make Arrests for Underage Alcohol Possession, Drugs

The following information is from the Stoughton Police logs. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Underage Possession of Alcohol

Stoughton Police arrested two for underage possession of alcohol when responding to a call for suspicious activity at the CAPP Playground on Pierce St. at 3:02 a.m. on August 23.

Sthefano Souta Alves, 20, of Framingham was charged with being a minor in the possession of alcohol; for procuring alcohol under the age of 21; and for the possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Thomas Joseph Doherty, 20, of Dorchester, was charged with being a minor in the possession of alcohol and for procuring alcohol under the age of 21.

Drug Arrest

Stoughton Police arrested Meredith Dyanne Manifase, 28, of Monk St. in Stoughton at 4:50 p.m. on August 22 when the SPD served a search warrant at 99 Porter St.

Manifase was charged with the possession of a Class E drug and had an outstanding warrant.

Underage Possession of Alcohol

Stoughton Police responded to Smokey Bones on Technology Center Dr. at 11:55 p.m. on August 20, arresting Tyrell Taylor, 20, of Randolph.

Taylor was charged with trespassing; for false/misuse of a liquor ID card/license; and for possessing alcohol under the age of 21.

Taylor's 21st birthday was just two days later, according to the police log.

Larceny 

An employee at Cumberland Farms on Park St. in Stoughton reported that a man stole a carton of cigarettes and left headed towards Brockton around 12:16 p.m. on August 19.

Stoughton Police arrested Robert James Toner, 24, of Whitman, charging him with shoplifting by asportation; receiving a stolen motor vehicle; and for failure to stop for police while operating a motor vehicle.

Shoplifting

  • Two females - Krystal M. Smith of Dorchester and Tamia Brown of Randolph - were both charged with shoplifting by asportation from Khol's on Technology Center Dr. around 1:15 p.m. on August 25.
  • Bari Seronick, 27, of Estey Way in Stoughton, was charged with shoplifting more than $100 by concealing merchandise from Target in Stoughton around 12:45 p.m. on August 24.
