Stoughton Police: Pothole Causes 3 Flat Tires on Washington Street

Thursday, Oct. 16
At 11:22 a.m., Stoughton police arrested Antonela Dacruzfortes, 27, of Randolph, on charges of shoplifting of more than $100 by concealing merchandise at Kohl’s.
At 11:40 a.m., police received a report from an employee of a gas company who had been taking a meter off a home on Seaver Street when a resident exited the house and allegedly threatened him with a bat. Officers responded to the home to speak to the resident, but no one was home upon arrival.

At 5:31 p.m., police arrested Marcellus Riley, 43, of Stoughton, on a warrant.
At 9:16 p.m., police received a complaint from a driver that a pothole near the Bank of America on Washington Street caused her tire to go flat. Officers responded and placed a traffic cone in the hole, and notified the Massachusetts Highway Department. Three vehicles received flat tires as a result of the pothole, police said.

Friday, Oct. 17
At 12:24 a.m., police responded to the South School on Ash Street to remove a tree from the front entrance.
At 5:01 a.m., a caller reported that a vehicle had pulled up behind a building on Stagecoach Road, from which three or four men exited and, wearing black clothing, ran into the woods nearby. The vehicle then left the area and left the individuals in the woods; officers checked the area but were unable to find anyone.
At 1:02 p.m., police received a report from a caller that two loose pit bulls were in the area of Pratts Court, and that the caller’s husband had been bitten by one of the dogs. Animal Control was notified.
At 1:35 p.m., a caller reported to police that a banging sound could be heard inside their home on Ewing Drive. Officers responded and found nothing out of place.
At 7:19 p.m., an employee of Cumberland Farms on Washington Street reported suspicious activity in the parking lot, and that it may have been a drug deal. Two men were seen in a dark blue pickup truck, which left the area prior to officers’ arrival.
At 8:34 p.m., a caller reported that three pumpkins in front of their home had been smashed.
Saturday, Oct. 18
At 2:27 a.m., police pulled a vehicle over near the Bean Town Diner on Washington Street, where they issued a summons to a 34-year-old Brockton resident for driving an uninsured and unregistered motor vehicle.
At 2:16 p.m., a caller told police that she received a call from someone saying she had a problem with her computer and that she gave that caller access to her computer and all of her personal information.
At 2:59 p.m., police received a report that a dog had been hit in the roadway on Turnpike Street, and that the animal had been dead on arrival.
At 7:40 p.m., a caller reported that she had seen worms coming from her ceiling on Wheeler Circle. Police advised the resident to contact her building manager.
At 9:20 p.m., a caller reported that upon arriving home on Golden Road, a vehicle had been missing and that a light was on inside of the home. Police are investigating to see if any relatives may have taken the vehicle.
Sunday, Oct. 19
At 4:32 p.m., a caller reported that a mother and three children had been shoplifting at Kohl’s on Technology Center Drive. Officers responded to speak with Loss Prevention about the incident.
