Stoughton Select Board Sets Date For Special Election
The special election will fill the seat vacated by former Select Board Chair Christine Howe.

STOUGHTON, MA — The Select Board set the date for the special election to fill the seat vacated by former Select Board Chair Christine Howe.
At its meeting Tuesday, the board voted unanimously to hold the special election on Tuesday, June 22.
Howe resigned from the board at the end of March after accepting a government job in Idaho, and nomination papers are now available to fill her former seat. There are two years left on Howe's former term.

Anyone who would like to run for the seat needs to get their nomination papers signed by a minimum of 100 registered voters in Stoughton. All nomination papers need to be returned to the town clerk's office by 5 p.m., May 4.
