Town Spa Pizza Closed Temporarily With Staff Coronavirus Case

The popular South Shore bar pizza spot closed Wednesday and will reopen Monday for takeout only.

UPDATE: Town Spa will reopen for takeout only 11 a.m. Monday, the restaurant said Thursday.

"For protection of our staff Indoor dining will be closed indefinitely until further notice," the restaurant said in a Facebook post.

STOUGHTON, MA — Popular bar pizza spot Town Spa Pizza was closed temporarily after management learned that a staff member tested positive for the coronavirus Wednesday.

The management was informed of the test result Wednesday afternoon and closed the restaurant immediately, they said in a Facebook post.

The staff member worked Saturday and Sunday as a server, then woke up with cold-like symptoms Monday. The server waited on one party Saturday and five on Sunday, according to the Facebook post.

Staff members who were in close contact with the server have been told to quarantine for 14 days.

The restaurant was deep-cleaned Wednesday night, but reopening will depend on staff availability, management said.

Anyone who visited Town Spa on Saturday 4 to 6 p.m. or Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. should contact management at 781-344-2030.
