Tropical Storm Hermine: No Watch or Warning, But Rain and Wind Expected for Area

Forecasters are warning of a messy start to the week.

As the remains of Tropical Storm Hermine makes its way up the east coast, the local area is expected to be spared from the worst of the storm.

As of late Sunday night, no watch or warning has been issued for Norfolk County. There is at least a 50 percent chance of showers in Stoughton area Monday and Tuesday with a projected maximum wind gust of 35-39 mph during Labor Day, according to the National Weather Service. A chance of rain is expected through Wednesday.

Hermine is expected to stall off New England, churning up rough surf and dangerous rip currents at beaches on the South Coast, Cape, and islands through at least mid-week, the NWS said.
