Chris Evans' 'Defending Jacob' Premiers April 24
The Sudbury native's new Apple TV miniseries filmed at locations in Worcester and MetroWest in 2019.

SUDBURY, MA — A new series starring Sudbury's most famous son — next to "Succession's" Jeremy Strong — will premier on April 24. The Apple TV series "Defending Jacob" focuses on two parents whose 14-year-old son is accused of murder — and it's set in Massachusetts.
"Defending Jacob" was filmed in the area last year across at locations in Worcester, Newton, Belmont, Needham, Medford, and others. The series is based on the 2014 novel of the same name by William Landay.
The series was directed by Morten Tyldum, who has directed episodes of Amazon's "Jack Ryan," and the 2014 Alan Turing biopic "The Imitation Game." Evans' co-stars include Michelle Dockery and Jaeden Martell as Evans' fictional son — Martell also had a role in "Knives Out."
