Crash Causes 'Significant Damage' on Pantry Road, Forcing Closure Tuesday Afternoon

The crash caused non-life threatening injuries according to Police Chief Scott Nix.

Pantry Road in Sudbury has been shut down for an undetermined amount of time due to an accident in the area.

Sudbury Police Chief Scott Nix said at about 12:10 p.m. that a motor vehicle accident involving a truck that struck a tree and pole in the area caused non-life threatening injuries.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes, and police said it is unknown how long the road will be closed for.

“There is extensive damage to the telephone pole as well as a large oak tree,” said Nix, who added that police will update when the road is opened again.
