How Can You Help Animals This Holiday Season?

Area shelters are in need of many items.

For the cats and kittens, its wishlist includes: 

  • Science Diet dry food
  • Canned cat food
  • Non-clumping cat litter
  • Blankets and Towels
  • Cat toys
  • Meat only baby food
  • Newspapers

For the dogs and puppies, its wishlist includes:

We hear about all sorts of needs this time of year, including for animals. Here is a list of some items needed at area shelters.

Immediate shelter needs: Blue Dawn (penguin on the front), canned dog food (Pedigree, Alpo Prime Cuts), canned cat food (Pate-style), large and medium Kongs, and paper towels. 

Also need:

  • Canned Cat Food:  Friskies and 9 Lives Chicken, Chicken and Rice, Turkey, Turkey and Rice, Turkey and Giblets, and Mixed Grill
  • Please, no salmon canned food for the cats.
  • Dogs and Puppies: Any good quality loaf brand is great
  • Cat Carriers
  • Kong and Puzzle toys for Dogs
  • Baby food: turkey, chicken, beef
  • Blankets (no quilting or batting, please)
  • Sheets and towels

  • Dog and cat food (wet and dry for young and old animals)                  
  • PetAg KMR Milk Replacer Food Supplements (for nursing kittens and puppies)
  • blankets and towels (not pillows & sheets)

  • martingale collars
  • belt collars with hook and eye for dogs (not the plastic snap collars)
  • easy walk harnesses, gentle leaders.
  • Furry mice and balls with bells
  • stuffed animals for orphaned kittens to snuggle against
  • Kongs
  • Ruff Wear
  • Nyla bones
