If Your House Hasn't Been Inspected in a While, the Assessor May Be at Your Door
If you haven't had a home inspection recently, or have a building permit pulled, Sudbury assessors may be coming to your door.

SUDBURY, MA—Because of a state mandate, within a ten year period, assessors are supposed to conduct interior inspections of every property in town.
Assessors inspect homes in cycles, and also are required to inspect those properties with recently completed alterations, additions or improvements.
"If your home has not been inspected recently, or has had building permit activity ongoing or recently completed you should expect a visit by a representative of the Sudbury Assessors within the next few weeks," said an announcement on the town's site. "Property inspections typically entail verifying building measurements, and pertinent data elements relative to the home. Please keep in mind that a property inspection is clearly, the most assured means to achieving an accurate, equitable property assessment."
