SUDBURY, MA — The resident of a Sudbury apartment where police discovered an estimated $250,000 in drugs last week is expected to soon be charged in the incident, Sudbury police officials said Monday.

The man, who is not being identified by police until he is are formally charged, attempted to harm himself when he learned of the severity of the charges after police discovered a large amount of drugs and cash at his Boston Post Road apartment on Sept. 24. Police were initially called to the apartment to respond to the report of a man with a gun.

The gun, police said in a news release, ended up being a replica pellet gun, which officers determined was being shot off in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

Police arrested the owner of a car in which about 2 ounces of marijuana were in plain site along with cash and drug paraphernalia. Two people were with Miguel Teo, 23, Denver, who was identified as the owner of the car. One person lied about their identity and was later found to be a juvenile who had run away with a state-run residential facility in Fitchburg about a year ago, Sudbury police chief Scott Nix said Monday.

Teo was arrested and charged with possession of TCH and marijuana and with the intent to distribute and with malicious destruction of property.

Police later obtained a search warrant for the apartment of the other person who was with Teo and found 50 pounds of marijuana and a couple hundred pounds of TCH edibles, which, all told, police said has a street value of $250,000. Officers also discovered thousands of dollars in the apartment.

When informed of the charges he faced, the apartment resident attempted to harm himself before police intervened. The man was treated for self-inflicted minor injuries and now faces charges related to the discovery of the drugs.
