Lorraine Kilty, Salvation Army Cook, Avid Volunteer, Dies at 90
Kilty lived in Holliston and Sudbury, and was a native of Somerville, where she graduated high school.

Lorraine Louise Kilty of Holliston, formerly of Sudbury, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Friday evening, June 19. She was 90 and the wife of the late John J. Kilty. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Murphy) Sloan. A graduate of Somerville School of Nursing she had been employed as a Registered Nurse working in Home Healthcare. Mrs. Kilty had lived in Holliston for the past ten years and formerly made her home in Sudbury where she and her husband raised their family.
Mrs. Kilty was well known in the area and recently celebrated 50 years as a parishioner and member of the choir at St. Anselm Church in Sudbury. She served as a Eucharistic Minister and Activities Volunteer at Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham. She also volunteered at Blood Pressure Clinics for Senior Hearing Impaired in Newton and Holliston, MA as well as a volunteer cook for the Salvation Army in Framingham. She was a member of the Senior Strutters and often performed in productions with the Sudbury Senior Center as well as in her association with the Tap and Tones and the Hollis Tones singing and dancing groups.

She is survived by her children: Jay Kilty and his wife, Beth of Medway; Kathy Swanecamp and her husband, Kevin of Holliston; Kevin C. Kilty of Medway; Arlene L. Moreau and her husband, Kevin of Medway; and Diane V. Cross and her husband, Ricky of Bellingham. She also leaves her brother, James F. Sloan of Kingston, NH, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 24, at 10:00 AM at St. Anselm Church, 100 Landham Road, Sudbury followed by interment at Mt. Wadsworth Cemetery, Sudbury. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Duckett-J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, Rt. 20, Sudbury. Rather than flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Bethany Hall Health Care Center, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, MA 01702.
