More Than 5,300 Without Power In Sudbury: Update

Sudbury is among the many communities hit across the state.

SUDBURY, MA—An especially heavy snow in this newest nor'easter has caused power problems for multiple communities across the state, including Sudbury.

By 10 a.m. on Thursday, 5,301 of the 7,138 were affected in Sudbury, marking 75 percent of the customers in town, according to Eversource. This is a jump of about 2,000 more without power since 6 a.m.

More than 110,000 power customers were in the dark as of 1 a.m.., according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. Patch will be updating power outages throughout Thursday, so check back often. Southern Worcester County and the Merrimack Valley are seeing the worst of it.
