Need Some Farmland? Sudbury's Got A Few Acres Up For Grabs

The Sudbury Conservation Commission is soliciting proposals for the agricultural use of two town-owned farm fields.

SUDBURY, MA—The Sudbury Conservation Commission is soliciting proposals for the agricultural use of two town-owned farm fields on conservation land in Sudbury. Proposals may be submitted for one or more of these fields.

Fields are as follows:

Field #1
Dutton Road at Carding Mill Pond Approximately 4 Acres

Field #2
Landham Brook Marsh (formerly Johnson Farm) field Approximately 1 acre

The proposals for the use of these fields must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 20, to the Conservation Commission at 275 Old Lancaster Road, or the Town Clerk at Town Hall, Concord Rd., Sudbury MA.

Information regarding the available parcels may be obtained from the Conservation Commission at 978-440-5471. Call if you wish to inspect the properties prior to bidding.

Successful proposals will get a license for up to five years and then an option to renew for up to 20 years. Organic farming practices are preferred. In addition, the intensity of the farming shall take into account the abutting land uses.
