Northborough's Purple Rose Home Celebrates 20 Years
This Northborough treasure full of treasures celebrates its anniversary with a huge tent sale.
NORTHBOROUGH, MA—They did it even before the "Fixer Upper" show became popular, with Vicki Martelli as the "Chip" and her daughter, Kim Reed, the "Joanna." The two are behind every treasure found inside one of New England's coveted furniture, decor & gift shops, Purple Rose Home.
In 1997, Martelli made an impulse buy for an 1850s home on Main Street in Northborough, with "an effervescent love for antiques and a can of purple paint," she said. Little did she know, Purple Rose would become a shop locals call their "second home" 20 years later.
On May 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Purple Rose welcomes the community to their annual tent sale, featuring deep discounts on all their curated finds.
