Questions About Sudbury Station At Melone Property? Town Forum
The forum is a chance to ask questions and learn about the property that will be a large affordable housing community.

SUDBURY, MA—Here's a chance for Sudbury folks to learn more and ask questions about the proposed disposition of the Melone property, a 47-acre piece of land on Route 117 at which an affordable housing project is planned.
A town forum is being held on Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School Auditorium.
Sudbury purchased the property in 1992, and operated a gravel operation there until the late 1990s. Since, nearly all the gravel has been removed from the yard, according to the DPW.

In March of this year, Requests for Proposals for disposition of the land were issued, and among those evaluated by the Board of Selectmen, a proposal by Quarry North was ranked as the most advantageous for the town.
In September, selectmen voted to approve Quarry North's proposal to develop Sudbury Station, an affordable housing project, reported MetroWest Daily News. The deal was made in exchange for the town keeping land at the center on which the housing was originally planned. The exchange also included a $1 million payment from Quarry North to the town.
