Speed Likely Factor in Wednesday Crash That Injured Two
A 20-year-old Sudbury man was airlifted from the scene of the crash on Mossman Road.

Sudbury Police Chief Scott Nix said that excessive speed was likely a factor in a Wednesday night crash that left a Sudbury driver with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Nix said on Thursday afternoon that police received a 911 call at 10:08 p.m. on Wednesday for a crash on Mossman Road.
First responders discovered a single-car crash with a vehicle that had flipped onto its side and crashed into a tree.

Police said that the driver’s condition at the time was uncertain, but as of Thursday Nix said the man’s injuries are “substantial but non-life threatening.”
Nix added that the crash remains under investigation, but said it was apparent excessive speed was a factor.
“Given the tremendous impact, both occupants are extremely fortunate the outcome was not far worse,” said Nix. “As always, we strongly urge all drivers (operate) in a prudent, safe manner. Accidents as such can result in life-changing or life-ending outcomes that cannot be taken back.”
