Sudbury Closes Roads After Utility Pole Breaks
Sudbury police warned of extended closures in the town center area Tuesday afternoon.

SUDBURY, MA — Tuesday's wind event broke utility poles in Sudbury's town center area, and police were warning of extended road closures.
As of 1 p.m., Concord Road southbound at Goodman's Hill Road was closed. The northbound lanes of Old Lancaster Road near Peakham Road were also closed, police said.
Drivers should watch for detours around the two incidents.

Winds were gusting in excess of 40 mph in the Sudbury area on Tuesday, and were expected to continue through until at least sunset. Sudbury was largely spared widespread power outages, with only about 10 residents out as of 1 p.m., according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.
