SUDBURY, MA — Construction season is here — well, almost here.

The Sudbury Public Works Department on Tuesday released the summer repaving schedule. Construction gets underway beginning May 17 and will last for much of the warmer months.

In general, road construction will begin around 7 a.m. on work days. There will also be nighttime work, which will generally last between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. when scheduled.

The town will conduct three types of resurfacing projects this summer: major milling and repaving "overlay" projects; crack sealing; and micro-surfacing, where a thin layer of asphalt mix goes down over the roadway.

On top of the projects listed below, Sudbury will also begin a major bridge replacement along Dutton Road on June 1. That project will last three months and will keep the road closed except to local traffic.
