Sudbury Firefighter's Heroes Cup Hockey On The Ice In Marlborough
A tournament for the Heroes Cup, founded by a Sudbury firefighter, raises money for a lot of worthy charities.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—The Heroes Cup is a weekend long event that brings firefighters, police officers, EMS and military members together to raise money and awareness for charities. Founded by Sudbury firefighter and Marlborough resident Mike Mantos, the second annual Heroes Cup takes place April 20-22 at the Best Western Hotel and Trade Center in Marlborough.
Each team plays for the charity of their choice with a cash prize going to the winning teams charity of each division.
Pieces of Eight plays casino night Friday, April 21, to kick off a this three-day hockey tournament. More than 40 casino tables, an indoor driving range, NASCAR Racing Cars, and a Hockey Simulator and much more are part of the kick-off event.

More than 50 hockey teams comprised of first responders will play in a 3 day tournament to benefit The Last Call Foundation, and more than 50 other charities for which the teams play to win money.
Games take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the day. Saturday, after the games at the rink, attendees can head back to The Best Western for a ticketed concert featuring Turquoise Willy.

Additionally The Pipes and Drums from more than 40 fire service departments compete in a battle of the bands. Sunday, a cook off with National exposure (Firehouse Kitchen), rounds out the 3-day event as teams compete for the cup.
