Sudbury Man Charged In Child Porn Investigation

Sudbury police said the 49-year-old was downloading images from the dark web.

SUDBURY, MA — A 49-year-old Sudbury man has been arrested and charged following a child pornography investigation, police reported Wednesday.

Police said Tyson Tu, of Colson Circle, was arrested on Tuesday after a joint investigation between Sudbury police and the Department of Homeland Security, which often assists local police in child porn investigations.

Chief Scott Nix said Tu was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography after he was found with pictures of "very young minor aged victims."

Nix said Tu had downloaded the images from the dark web, a section of the internet where users can mask their identity using encryption software. Nix said Tu was not involved in manufacturing the images.

He was set to be arraigned at district court in Framingham on Wednesday.
