Deadline For Sudbury Ornament Display Is This Week
With no tree lighting, Sudbury has instead mounted a community-wide holiday decoration contest.
SUDBURY, MA — The 2020 holiday season won't be the same in Sudbury due to coronavirus — but the town has planned an alternative activity to make spirits bright.
The town's usual Christmas tree lighting Winter Festival has been canceled this year. In its place, the town is sponsoring a community-wide ornament display. The ornaments will be hung on the town holiday tree near Town Hall, and will also be included in the 2020 Sudbury time capsule.
The town offered ornament decorating kits to residents, which concluded on Nov. 24. Now the deadline to get those ornaments decorated and returned to is approaching. All ornaments must be dropped off at the Sudbury police building, 75 Hudson Road, by Dec. 4.
