Sudbury Police, Fire Dept. Seek To Limit Public Visits
Sudbury police and fire officials are responding to emergencies, but want to limit public foot traffic in stations and lobbies.
SUDBURY, MA — The Sudbury police and fire departments are taking steps to limit public traffic in stations and fire houses amid the new coronavirus outbreak.
The Sudbury Fire Department is no longer accepting walk-in requests for things like burning permits. The police department is asking the public to stay away from the department lobby unless there's an emergency.
The departments are also asking people who call for assistance to tell dispatchers about any possible COVID-19 symptoms, which could include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.
