Sudbury Woman Top Female Runner At Emerson Annual 5K

A Sudbury woman had the best female time at this annual race.

SUDBURY, MA—A Sudbury woman ran away with the top female time at the annual Emerson Hospital's 5K Run-Walk for Cancer on June 10 at the Thoreau Club in Concord.

With a time of 19 minutes and 34 seconds, Morgane Butler was the top female runner, and came in eleventh overall. Arlington's John Longo, with a time of 17 minutes and 36 seconds, was the top male runner.

The 2017 Walk for Cancer raised more than $120,000, making it the most successful yet, with 750 runners and walkers participating. All proceeds from the event support cancer care for patients at the Mass General Cancer Center at Emerson Hospital – Bethke.
