Upcoming Special Town Meeting and Election Seek Additional Funding for Police Station
Town Meeting will take place on September 4 while the election will be September 9.

Voters approved a new Sudbury Police Department earlier this year. This September, they’ll be asked to provide more funding for the project at the ballot box and at an additional Special Town Meeting.
In July, the Sudbury Board of Selectmen voted to call Special Town Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting will take place inside Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in an effort to secure supplementary funding for the construction of the police station.

“Shall the Town of Sudbury be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued in order to provide additional funding to construct a new Police Department Headquarters and appurtenant structures on Town-owned land adjacent to the existing Fire Headquarters including borrowing costs and expenses?”
