"The Wayside Inn Foundation’s 2nd annual Online Summer Auction will run from Thursday, August 12th until Friday, August 20th.
They are looking for sponsors and donors of items and experiences to help raise funds to support The Foundation's "Rediscovering the Red Horse" effort to create a new Center for Education and Research at the historic Gate House. The new center will inspire new thinking about old history by encouraging opportunities for:

- Program development for all ages -- students, families, and adults;
- Improved access to our archives and streamlined collections management and care;
- Active research; and
- Dynamic engagement with history through renewed interpretation of The Wayside Inn’s historic assets.
The Wayside Inn Foundation is planning a great deal of publicity around this effort and will promote all donors and sponsoring businesses as collaborative community partners in the process.

As a nonprofit organization, The Wayside Inn Foundation receives no regular funding from the town of Sudbury, the state of Massachusetts, or any federal monies for its operations or property maintenance and instead relies on donations, grants, and bequests to carry out its mission.
Participation in the summer auction will help The Wayside Inn Foundation create a dynamic and functional space for staff to work, for visitors to learn, and for the protection of its historic resources."
