Wide Load: House Delivery In Sudbury May Cause Delays

Eversource is having a whole building delivered on Wednesday to the Nobscot communications tower in Framingham.

SUDBURY, MA — An unusual, and very large package is being delivered on Wednesday, and it may cause some traffic disruptions in Sudbury. Eversource is taking delivery of a building called a "control house" that will be installed at the Nobscot Hill communications tower in Framingham.

The delivery will happen sometime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., according to town officials. The building will travel on an oversized load truck through Sudbury along the Boston Post Road, and then up Brimstone Lane. The tower site is located at 400 Brimstone Lane, which is over the Framingham line.

Vehicles will still be able to access Brimstone Lane, as will homeowners. But it might be a tight squeeze. The truck will be accompanied by support vehicles and a local police escort.
