1. School Committee Notes:

The School Committee meets Monday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at the high school. 

Agenda items will include a personnel report and a report on Fiscal 2013, both from the superintendent. The committee will discuss professional development in the coming year. The committee is meeting Monday, instead of Tuesday, so as not to conflict with the School Building Committee's forum.

The Swampscott Club, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, was once visited by President Ulysses S. Grant, according to the Town of Swampscott website.

5. Recreation Notes:

The Recreation Committee meets Sept. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall in the first floor conference room.  Agenda items include a review of summer programs and discussion of upcoming activities including the fall Car Show.
