Beach Parking Support Split Down the Middle
The Traffic Study Committee will return to the topic of Phillips Beach parking in the coming weeks.

A Traffic Study Committee member estimated about half the room supported increasing recreation sticker parking around the Phillips Beach neighborhood, and about half the room opposed it at a public hearing Wednesday.
The committee listened to comments and is expected to schedule another public hearing on the topic before arriving at a recommendation for selectmen, said Traffic Study Committee member Gino Cresta, director of DPW.
The director estimated about 30 people were at Wednesday's hearing at the Swampscott Senior Center.
