Blanket-Covered Man With Legs in Road
The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Aug. 24
- At 2:07 p.m., someone reported finding a 14K gold men's wedding ring in the bathroom at the Red Rock Bistro.
- At 4:13 p.m., the owner/operator of a car stopped on Essex Street had a suspended license and was given a criminal citation.
- At 4:20 p.m., a child fell off swings at a Puritan Road address. The child possibly had a broken arm. An ambulance was sent to the location.
- At 8:40 p.m., a panhandler was at the train station.
- At 11:27 p.m., a caller reported a man in the roadway between Bradley and Charles. The man was covered by a blanket and his legs were in the roadway. Police identified him as a man from New Jersey with a criminal history. He was transported to a shelter.
- At 11:37 p.m., police received a report of a man shooting a paint ball gun and being loud at Commonwealth Terrace.
- At 2:04 a.m., a Humphrey Street caller reported hearing footsteps on the roof. Possibly an animal doing the walking.
- At 4:20 a.m., police received a report of four loud youths at Archer Street and Eureka Avenue. They were moved along.
- At 4:40 a.m., two drunk people were taken into protective custody on Burpee Road.
- At 8:04 a.m., an injured bird was reported to be in a pond at the golf course. The animal control officer was called.
- At 6:16 p.m., an Elm Place caller reported two men had jumped a fence and went to the railroad tracks where they were possibly stealing railroad ties.
- At 7:22 p.m., a dispute between neighbors was reported at Park Square.
- At 8:56 p.m., a Belleair Drive caller reported that two youth had rung her bell and took off running.
- At 10:20 p.m., a Currier Court caller reported people were yelling and swearing in the area.
