And you responded. Then you responded some more.

This photo — submitted by Sharon Cook — is a decorated pumpkin from the 2019 "Fur Ball" that was a centerpiece at the benefit to raise money for the Friends of Beverly Animals. While the benefit could not be held for a 13th year this year due to the public health crisis, this throwback shot is worth another look.

This photo — submitted by Charlie Pihokken — is of his grandson, Lucas Medeiros of Charlestown, in front of the "Vote" pumpkin on display in the Salem Commons Park.

Carol Krieger, of Marblehead, sent us a pair of very nice pumpkin-themed displays.




Mary Gagnon gave us a glimpse of this fine pumpkin specimen decorated with the help of her 6-year-old son.
