Who We Are

The mission of the Friends of the Swampscott Senior Center, a volunteer run group, is to increase the quality of life for the seniors of our community; promote activities of the Swampscott Senior Center and provide financial support for such services and activities.

Many of those services and activities are well outside the town’s budget. Your generous contributions help us continue to fund an incredible range of activities to keep everyone active, healthy and involved in the community.

We thank you in advance for your support during our annual fundraising drive!

What We Do

• Purchase, planting, watering and maintenance of the gardens gracing the entrance to the center
• Purchased laptop computers for use by members and guests; also provide access to experts from the high school for training and support
• Provide complimentary hot coffee and tea to all members and guests in the sparkling new (bright red!) Keurig in the living room
• Purchased new wide screen high definition television and sound system for the living room (please join us for Friday morning movies)
• Purchase and supply of yarns used by members to create hand-knit items for homeless veterans, patients of Boston Children's Hospital and other organizations as the need arises (special thanks to the knitting group for their generous donations)
• Let’s not forget Lobster and Christmas lunches…we love parties!
