Documentarian Seeks Swampscott Alums
A documentary on Machon Elementary and the old Swampscott Middle School needs alums to share their memories on camera.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA – The longtime former elementary school and middle school will likely disappear from the town landscape in the coming years, and one man is looking to record their histories.
Jason P. Stadtlander is seeking people who attended or worked at the Machon Elementary School or the Swampscott Middle School to share their memories and experiences at the facilities. Machon was built on Burpee Road in 1920, and the middle school has been on Greenwood Avenue dating back to 1893.
Stadtlander is also looking for photos and videos of the school to include in the documentary, and for people to shed some light of what the buildings were like when they were young.
