Employer Had Sought Well-Being Check for Hit and Run Suspect
The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Sept. 10
- 5:56 a.m., a caller reported that when he was leaving for work there was an older model white pick-up truck parked a little up the hill from his residence on Barnstable Street. After the caller noticed the truck, it slowly drove away.
- 7:25 a.m., a Boynton Street caller reported a breaking and entering to a white van. The caller later reported that nothing of value appeared to be missing.
- 7:37 a.m., police received a report of a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle on Pine Street. The vehicle was unlocked. It did not appear anything of value was taken.
- 7:44 a.m., police received a report of a motor vehice accident near Qdoba Mexican grill. No personal injury was reported.
- 11:52 a.m., a Middlesex Avenue caller reported that parties were trespassing on her property. The people were workers trying to do work for a neighbor.
- 3:30 p.m., an employer called to report that an employee who lives in Swampscott did not return to work and the employer was concerned for the woman's well being. Police checked on the well being of Kimberly English. Later in the day Kimberly English would be charged with an alleged hit-and-run incident in Swampscott.
- 4:20 p.m., property was turned in to the station, an iPad, and returned to its owner.
- 4:48 p.m., police received a report of stolen mail at a Puritan Road address.
- 5:11 p.m., a Humphrey Street person reported a daughter being harassed.
- 7:24 p.m., police charged Kimberly english, 49, of 40 Hillside Ave., Swampscott with assault and battery with intent to murder,  with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, leaving the scene of personal injury, operating left of center, operating to endanger, a 209A violation, and speeding.
- 5:23 a.m., police received a report of a suspicious man with lots of hair ringing the bell at a Smith Lane residence.
- 6:59 a.m., a caller reported the door handle was broken at a Columbia Street address. Thought it might be the result of an attempted breaking and entering.
