Essential Mondays: Open Space, Selectmen and a Kids' Fun Day

1. Weather Watch:

Monday's forecast calls for sun and a high temperature of 70.

2. Open Space on the Table: 

The Recreation Commission meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the first-floor conference room to talk about summer and fall programs and open space. 

3. Historical Commission: 

The Swampscott Historical Commission is scheduled to meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall in the second-floor conference room.

4. Swampscott Selectmen: 

The selectmen meet Wednesday night at 7 at Town Hall. Items for discussion include beach parking, filling a vacant police officer position and the board's goals. 

5. Kids' Day at the Farmers' Market: Sunday is Kids' Fun Day at the Farmers' Market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Swampscott High. Activities will include games, face painting and making balloon animals and vegetables.
