Fire Reportedly Lit Near Home's Rear Door

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Dec. 29

1:07 a.m., police received a report from Marblehead police about an erratic operator on Humphrey Street. The vehicle was gone upon police's arrival.

1:42 a.m., a caller reported a possible motor vehicle accident on Humphrey Street.

7:10 a.m., a Burrill Street caller reported that someone had lit a fire near her rear door. The fire was no longer burning but the caller wanted police to respond. Police responded and a report on the incident is due.

10:35 a.m., a motor vehicle's window was broken on Pitman Road.

12 noon, a neighbor called police on behalf of a Nirvana Drive mom who was locked out of her house with her 2-year-old inside. The child was at the window and crying. The fire department and police were notified.  Police were able to get into the home.

12:10 p.m., a lost license plate was reported on Charlotte Road.

12:33 p.m., the larceny of cash was reported at Marshalls Department store.

2:04 p.m., identity theft was reported on Crescent Street. Credit cards were reportedly being used.
