
SAUGUS – The Belden Bly/Fox Hill Bridge was finally lowered Tuesday evening, allowing crews to work on repairing a mechanical issue with a steel rope. The bridge will be open to to vehicles from 5 a.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. It will be closing at 8 p.m. each night for repairs.
The bridge carries traffic over the Saugus River on Route 107. It has been out of service since Sunday evening.
MassDOT has had plans to replace the bridge with what is estimated to be an $80 million project.
