The Swampscott IVY Program holds the 10th Annual Thanksgiving Feast with Salem and Marblehead

The Swampscott IVY Program, a comprehensive transition program for young adults age 19-22, held its 10th Annual Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday, November 20.

Neighbors from Marblehead and Salem joined the feast this year to give thanks and to meet new friends. Guests included fellow teacher, Susan Wales, and her students from Marblehead High along with Lenore Goodwin of the Marblehead VOICES Program, Colin Baer, the New Director of the Salem Transition Program, and Patrick Schultz of Triangle, Inc of Salem.

Swampscott Superintendent, Pam Angelakis, Swampscott Director of Student Support Services, Mona Blumstein, Swampscott High Principal Edward Rozmiarek, Assistant Principal Frank Kowalski, and Swampscott Team Chair Erin Wilson joined in the fun ice breaker activities.

Students from Swampscott were surprised at how much they had in common with their friendly rivals. A variety of delicious dishes were prepared by students in each program and shared by all. The afternoon ended with an activity that gave everyone an opportunity to “give thanks.”
