Halloween Comes Early on Cherry Street

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Jan. 21

1:40 p.m., a Cherry Street caller reported seeing a male wearing a Halloween mask and a black hoodie. Police checked the area but no one fitting that description was found.

2:10 p.m., police received a call stating two males were out of their trucks and yelling at each other at Danvers Road and Essex Street. They were gone upon police's arrival.

2:33 p.m., an Erie Street caller asked for a police report regarding a neighbor putting trash in their barrel. The individual will resolve the issue through the landlord.

3:22 p.m., a Marblehead resident reported leaving a purse in a cart in front of CVS.

4:12 p.m., neighbor problems were reported on Lewis Road.

5:22 p.m., a caller reported a female screaming in the Beach Avenue area.

5:26 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on Essex Street across from the high school. No injuries were reported.

7:46 p.m., a motor vehicle crashed into a Burrill Street house causing minor damage to the foundation. No injury was reported.

Wednesday, Jan. 22

5:02 a.m., a Hillcrest Circle caller said he had asked his neighbor to stop snowblowing until later. The neighbor refused to stop snowblowing.

11:10 a.m., vandalism was reported at Congregation Shirat Hayam — damage to the fence and Dumpster.

3:10 p.m., a scam was reported on Devens Road. A resident reported someone called saying money was needed to get a relative out of jail.

6:52 p.m., a party reported having a problem with a gas attendant at Gulf Express.
