How To Recycle Your Christmas Tree In Swampscott

Find out how to dispose of your tree before it becomes a fire hazard.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott residents looking to dispose of a Christmas tree that's gone from merry and bright to dry and droopy can do so through curbside pickup the week starting Jan. 10.

This will be the one and only opportunity in town to have your tree picked up. Trees must be bare of all ornaments, tinsel, garland, lights, stands and plastic bags as they are brought directly for chipping.

Tree pickup will occur on the residents' normal day for trash collection barring a weather emergency.
