Hyundai Super Bowl Ad Pokes Fun At Massachusetts, Boston Accent

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — hyundai gave YouTube viewers a sneak peak of its Super Bowl ad Saturday, which uses David Ortiz and Boston-raised celebrities to make fun of the region's distinctive accent. While the car company pulled th ad from YouTube after a few hours, it has kept a clip where Lexington native and "Saturday Night Live" star Rachel Dratch tries to teach Ortiz the finer points of talking like a Bostonian.

The ad also features actor Chris Evans, who grew up in Sudbury before going on to play Captain America, and Newton native John Krasinski. In one interchange, Krasinki brags to Evans about all the places he has used "smaht pahk" to parj his "smaht cah."

"Dorchester? Foxborough? The Garden? Saugus? Swampscott? Revere? The harbor? Pahked it, pahked it, pahked it, pahked it, pahked it," Krasinski said.

The advertisement's official debut will be Monday night at 9 p.m., when CBS will broadcast a Super Bowl advertisement special ahead of Sunday's game.
