Marblehead Youth Charged With Possessing Half Pound of Pot
The youth was stopped after he ran a stop sign.

A traffic stop Tuesday ended with a Marblehead youth being charged with possessing eight ounces of marijuana.
Ryan Caliri, 17, of 54 Prospect St., Marblehead was stopped after Officer Mike Frayer saw the youth run a stop sign at Banks Road and Walker Road, according to Swampscott police Det. Tim Cassidy.
The police officer smelled a strong odor of fresh marijuana in the vehicle, police said.
After further investigation the youth was charged with the stop sign violation and possession of a class D substance (marijuana) with the intent to distribute.Â
