A Marblehead chef took first place Sunday at the chefs' throwdown at the Swampscott Farmers' Market.

Barry Edelman of the School Street restaurant 5 Corners won the event with a lobster dish.

A large crowd hovered around the chefs and their dishes, eyeing the plates and restraining their paws.

Chef Greg Brackman and chef Craig Hawley also made waves at the throwdown, waves of watering mouths.
