Motorist Allegedly Runs Over Girlfriend's Foot
The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Oct. 17
- 1:17 a.m., a woman at a Barnstable Street address reported hearing someone in the rear of her house. An officer checked the area and everything seemed normal.
- 9:56 a.m., the school resource officer reported that an assault with a knife took place on a high school bus. A report was to follow. No further information was available.
- 10:26 a.m., a man went into a Boynton Street yard on a bike and came out of the yard on a different bike.
- 5:15 p.m., a caller reported that a motorist almost hit a pedestrian in a cross walk and that the vehicle ran a red light on Paradise Road by Whole Foods.
- 5:36 p.m., kids were reportedly causing a disturbance at the entrance to the Tedesco golf course. The juveniles were sent on their way.
- 7:18 p.m., police charged Jared Jones, 29, of 111 Eastern Ave., Lynn with domestic assaut and battery, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The man allegedly ran over his girlfriend's foot with his car near UNO Chicago Grill.
- 1:41 p.m., a man was reportedly robbed of $4,500 in the Stop & Shop parking lot. For more click here.
- 10 p.m., a Ross Road caller reported that someone was ringing the doorbell and running away.
- 3:06 p.m., Â a Burrill Street caller reported a problem with his tenant, saying he appeared to be mentally unstable. The landlord said he feared for himself and his son.
- 10:14 p.m., a gunshot was reported by the train station. The call was serviced. No further information was available.
- 10:18 p.m., a caller reported that people were lighting fireworks behind a Doherty Circle residence.
- 10:43 a.m., a Paradise Road caller reported unruly child.
- 12:24 p.m., a missing child was reported at the classic car show. The child was located inside a car at the show.
- 5:46 p.m., loitering youth were moved along behind Marshalls on Paradise Road.
