New Meeting Night For School Committee

The School Committee is moving its meetings to a new night — Tuesday.
Previously the board met on Wednesday.
That is the same night that the Swampscott Board of Selectmen meet.
Anyone who wanted to attend both meetings was unable to do so, at least for their entirety.
The town and school panels have been meeting on the same night at the same time, though in different locations — the School Committee at the high school and the selectmen at Town Hall — for many months now.
School Committee Chairman Rick Kraft said board members had been investigating ways to reschedule so the meeting times were not in conflict.
Committee members and the superintendents were amendable to the Tuesday plan.
The committee meets next on Tuesday, July 30, at 7 p.m. at the high school.
