SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A new sidewalk is coming to Swampscott to make things safer for middle school students and staff.

The Department of Public Works is overseeing the installation of a sidewalk on Forest Avenue across from Swampscott Middle School.

The DPW said workers will be constructing a retaining wall to support abutting residents' landscapes, putting in new granite curbing, relocating some irrigation systems and will then put in place an asphalt sidewalk.
