Oh, You Might See Snow

Today is Tuesday, Nov. 12, and here are the five things to go with your coffee or tea: 

1. You might see some snow this fall day in Swampscott. The National Weather Service is saying snow showers are a possibility in the morning. Expect a high temperature near 41 today. Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low of 28. Sunrise, 6:30 a.m.; high tide, 6:26 a.m.; low tide, 12:30 p.m.; and sunset, 4:23 p.m.

2. The Swampscott Public Library,  61 Burrill St., presents Practically Speaking English from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. This program is a chance for our Russian population to come in and practice their skills in communicating in English. The group will be lead by a non-Russian speaker to encourage members to only participate in English. 

3. The School Committee meets at 7 p.m. at the high school in Room B208. The agenda includes recognition for students' academic achievement, a budget update and a personnel report.


4. Improvisational comedy. Marblehead Little Theatre will be holding a six week course, taught by Brett Bovio, at 12 School Street, Marblehead for teens and adults beginning in November.  Adult classes will be held on Monday nights starting November 11 from 6:30-8:30.  Teen classes will be held on Tuesday afternoons starting November 12 from 4:00-5:30.  Space is limited.  Fee is $175 for the course.
