Planning Board Hearing Set for Monday Night

A vote is scheduled to take place to adopt the housing production plan.

SWAMPSCOTT – The Swampscott Planning Board is scheduled to hold a public meeting Monday night at 7pm.

The meeting will take place at Swampscott High School in room B129 at 200 Essex Street.

Presentations will be made by Swampscott Superintendent Pamela Angelakis and Ralph Wilmer from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council.

Superintendent Angelakis is expected to lay out the educational vision for Swampscott Public Schools. Wilmer is set to present a final draft of a housing production plan.

A vote is scheduled to take place to adopt the housing production plan and submit it to the Department of Housing and Community Development for review.

The vote will be followed by an informal discussion with representatives of the Board of Selectmen, followed by a master plan discussion on prioritization, responsibilities, and process.
